The Ethiopian Gender Professional Association (EGPA) is pleased to announce that we have been selected as one of 13 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) by the Consortium for Networking and Development (COND), out of 88 CSOs operating in the region, to join the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC)–CSO Coordination Platform.
This selection marks a significant milestone for EGPA, reflecting our growing leadership and commitment to advancing gender equality, women’s empowerment, and inclusive development across Ethiopia.
The EHRC–CSO Coordination Platform is a national mechanism designed to strengthen collaboration among CSOs and the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission. The platform focuses on:
Enhancing joint human rights monitoring and advocacy
Promoting inclusive civic space
Strengthening institutional and technical capacity of CSOs
Advancing the protection and promotion of human rights—especially for vulnerable and marginalized groups, including women, children, persons with disabilities, and older persons
Through this engagement, EGPA will contribute to evidence-based advocacy, participate in thematic working groups, and collaborate with regional and national stakeholders to drive meaningful change in human rights and gender equality.
This achievement reinforces EGPA’s ongoing efforts to ensure that gender perspectives and the voices of vulnerable communities are central to national human rights work.
We extend our appreciation to COND for this recognition and to our members and partners for their continued support.
EGPA — Advancing Gender Equality, Strengthening Human Rights.
